Harrah second-grader Q’Wayam Tadena opened the statewide Migrant Education Conference this morning as a part of the Swan Dancers. Wonderful job, Q’Wayam!

Please join us Tuesday August 20th for our start of the year health fair. All childhood vaccinations as well as flu and covid vaccines will be available and free of charge for community members and students from ages 6 months- 18 years old. Vaccines are free to all community members without insurance or for those who are under insured. For those adults with insurance coverage, most insurances cover vaccinations for covid and flu vaccine 100%. Blood pressure, blood sugar screenings, and Narcan kits will be available free of charge as well. I hope to see you all there!

Please join us this Wednesday, August 14, for our annual Summer Jam community gathering! There will be a barbecue, an all-ages track meet, a firearm safety giveaway, and a bike rodeo. You'll also be able to tour the Yakima Sheriff Department's armoured vehicle, get sprayed by a water truck from Fire District 5, and visit booths hosted by over 20 community partners.
