We are excited to invite your student participate in a field trip to Trout Lake, WA. We will be gathering huckleberries for our Spring Feast Celebration. We will have two different days and groups. All meals and transportation will be provided. If you student is interested in participating please contact Ms. Brettagne Aleck. Information about our free onsite vaccination clinic this Thursday, June 26, 2025. Come get your back to school immunizations done now! This event will begin from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Harrah Elementary Campus.

Hello Harrah School Community, we greatly value the safety and security of the students and staff in our care. We also recognize you as valuable partners in that process. The more you know about our safety plans, the better we can protect our kids. Today at 9 am at the Harrah School, we conducted the following drill: Live Smoke Evacuation Drill EVACUATE Reason for Practicing: Internal Threat Example: Fire What We Practiced (Live Smoke Drill @ 9 am): Checking hallways/outdoors for potential threats, then students exiting school and gathering at a pre-arranged rally point or alternate rally point. What You Can Do Today - Ask your child about the drill to check for understanding - Talk them through any questions or concerns they may have - Share any questions and/or concerns or clarifications with your school’s Safety Lead Cesar Hernandez – chernandez@masd209.org or Michelle Navarro - mnavarro@masd209.org What You Can Do When it’s not a Drill: - Check the school Website or Parent Square for updates. - Do not approach the school or attempt to retrieve your child until instructed to do so via (Facebook, Parent Square, MASD App) Your presence may interfere with emergency responders and rescue operations. - Do not attempt to communicate with the school as it might interrupt emergency communications. In extreme cases, students may be evacuated to a reunification site, where parents/guardians may retrieve them. To provide for the continuing safety of the students, this process will take some time and your patience is appreciated.

Everyone is invited to our biggest family event of the year! Celebrate My Culture will be today, Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Our event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Harrah K-8 Campus! This is a free event. We will have food samples, entertainment, student activities and parent informational tables. You won't want to miss this event.

Our JOM/IPEC meeting is rescheduled for today 4/30/25 in person only at the Harrah Elementary Library. Our meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

Will your student be in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade next school year? We will be offering a summer school program June 23-July 3rd. If you are interested in having your student attend please contact our building office for an application.

We wanted to provide a quick update regarding student and family access to our new Student Management System, Qmlativ that is replacing Skyward. While we had originally planned to open access on Monday, April 28, 2025, we have encountered a technical issue affecting grade reporting for a few high school classes. To ensure that all information you see is accurate, we have decided to postpone access until these issues are fully resolved. Our team is working closely with the software provider to correct the problem as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if you would like an update on your student’s grades, please contact your child's school office. We appreciate your patience and understanding, and we will notify you as soon as access becomes available. Thank you for your continued support!

Harrah Elementary School - Kinder Jump Start Event Harrah Elementary School will be hosting a Kinder Jump Start on April 24th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Parents/Guardians are asked to bring the following documents: Birth Certificate Immunization Records Proof of Residency This is a great opportunity to meet our Kindergarten teachers and other staff members. Reminder Parent/Teacher conferences are next week April 2-4, 2024. There is no school for students on April 3 & 4. Students will then have Spring Break April 7-14, 2025. School resumes Tuesday, April 15.
