Office Managed Behaviors 

Disruptive Behavior

  • Talking back/arguing

  • Student disagreements

  • Shouting out

  • Wandering/Out of seat

  • Disruptive noise/actions(ex. tapping pencil)

  • Dress Code/Writing on self and/ or others

  • Electronic Devices

    • Headphones/Cell Phones/ Slime/ Electronic Devices(Prohibited Objects)

    • HS/MS ONLY- ALL Electronic Devices must be kept in locker or kept out of sight during class time. This includes in the hallway or any common area.

  • Physical Contact

    • Unsafe Physical Behavior

    • Inappropriate touching of self/others(consider age and intent)

  • Inappropriate Language

    • Profanity(unless chronic or severe) 

    • Indirect Profanity 

  • Sleeping/Unprepared for Class

    • Sleeping in class

    • Not Prepared for class. Student does not have class material ready. 

  • Minor Dishonesty

    • Cheating/Copying

    • Lying

  • Throwing

  • Stealing

    • Taking other students'/staff property(consider age and intent)

  • Disrespect

    • Rude Comments/ Teasing

  • Defiance

    • Non-compliance/Not following directions/Meeting expectations. 

    • Hats/Hoods

    • Roaming halls(avoidance of class time)

    • Shutting down

  • Property Misuse

    • Vandalism

 

NOTE: Parent phone calls, classroom consequences or reteaching an expected behavior are ways that we can intervene when dealing with minor student misbehavior. 

Fighting/Physical Aggression

  • Physical fighting 

  • Hitting a teacher/staff

  • inflicting harm

  • Bullying, Harassment & Intimidation

    • Threats

    • Physically harms a student/ staff member  or damages property

    • Has the effect of substantially interfering with a students education. 

    • Is so severe, persistent or pervasive that it creates an intimidating or threatening educational environment. 

    • Has the effect of substantially disrupting the orderly operation of the school.

  • Chronic repetitive Minor Infractions

    • 3 refocuses/intervention strategies for the same behavior 

    • Escalated/continued defiance

    • Destruction of property

    • Throwing objects

    • Excessive Sleeping(Nurse Referral)

    • Interfering with others learning/teaching

Drugs/Alcohol/Weapons

  • Abusive Language/Directed Profanity

    • Directed profanity to student or staff.

    • Verbally aggressive

  • Theft

    • Money/electronics

  • Leaving Campus

  • Skipping Class/Leaving without permission

  • Gang Related Activity, Accessories or Actions
