The district has established a committee to began a year long process to adopt social studies curricula for grades K-12 to begin using in the 2023-2024 school year. This work is being led by Darcie Jamieson, ESD 105 Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning. In our first monthly meeting yesterday afternoon, the team began to identify needs in a new curriculum and reviewed social studies standards (https://www.k12.wa.us/student-...). At our next meeting, our plan is to develop a scope and sequence for Mt. Adams School District and to begin to determine what should be on a rubric for evaluating curricula.
