Message from HES/MAMS

Hello Harrah Elementary and Mt. Adams Middle School Families,
The summer is fast coming to an end and school will again start up on August 17th. I wanted to send a quick message letting you know about changes here at the Harrah school campus.
As some of you may know, Mr. McCracken has moved on to work with students and families in the Sunnyside School District. I, and everyone who worked with Mr. McCracken, was sorry to see him go but we are so appreciative of the work he did to help Harrah Elementary move forward with many different initiatives.
I have accepted the position of interim principal for the upcoming school year. I am excited to continue working with the staff, students and parents at Harrah Elementary and Mt. Adams Middle School.
There are some new faces on campus this year as well as some “old” faces in new positions. Mr. Cesar Hernandez, who has been an amazing counselor, has taken a new position as an interim assistant principal. He will continue to provide our students with the same consistent, caring guidance he has provided in the past. Mrs. Gasseling will lead our counseling department and will guide our new interim counselor Ms. Elise Parse in the ways of our systems.
Mr. Matt Manni is our new assistant principal and middle school athletic director. He will be providing support primarily in the middle school but he will be supporting the building in general in many different ways.
We look forward to you meeting all the other new staff members and saying hello to our returning staff at our open house on August 24th from 5-7pm. I am looking forward to a successful school year for all our students.
